The Methodist Health Training Institute, Afosu Campus offers both Diploma and Certificate programmes in Nursing and Midwifery i.e. Registered General Nursing, Registered Midwifery, Post NAC/NAP Midwifery and Registered Nurse Assistant Clinical.

1.0 How to Apply:

Applicant must:

  1. Purchase application codes from any approved bank at an approved cost by the Ministry of Health at the time of application
  2. Upon payment, an applicant will receive a voucher giving them a unique PIN and serial number.
  3. Use the PIN and serial number to access the application form online at https://healthtraining.gov.gh
  4. Note that the online registration form is accessible only by the PIN and self-created password.
  5. Follow the instruction carefully and fill the relevant stages of the admission process once the online application is opened.
  6. Select appropriate progam of study and the official school’s name (Methodist Health Training Institute, Afosu) on the admission portal.
  7. Use the PIN and serial number to track the status of their admission process.
  8. Note that only Applicants who meet admission requirement will be invited to attend a competitive interview at the Methodist Health Training Institute, Afosu.

Requirements for Post Basic Nursing and Midwifery Programmes vary according to the programme of study.

Age: Not more than 50 years, Subject to medical fitness.

NOTE: All applicants with background in Business and Visual Arts are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for all the above mentioned programmes.

    The Methodist Health Training Institute is located at Afosu in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region, Ghana which was formerly known as Nursing and Midwifery Training College-Afosu. The institution was established in 2014 by a private individual called Nana Kwadwo Attefah, Nkabomhene of Kokofu Traditional Area.
